The Australia Vietnam Business Council (AVBC) has over 25 year’s involvement of developing sustainable bilateral trade and investment opportunities between Australia and Viet Nam. The aim of the organization is to promote business opportunities that maintain cultural understanding, as well as to develop sustainable business matching and collaboration that engages AVBC members and the wider business communities both in Australia and Viet Nam.
Since inception in 1996, the organization was originally founded as the former NSW Vietnam Chamber of Commerce that evolved out of the former Ethnic Exporter’s Program of Austrade by the late Fred Fenech OAM. Through collaboration with members to broadened and enhanced its membership engagement and bilateral trade opportunities between Australia and Viet Nam, the organization was joined later with the Australia Vietnam Business Council functions which currently exist today.
The Australia Vietnam Business Council at all times remains non-political and focused on benefits for the people of Viet Nam and Australia. The organization was formed to promote the development of trade, commerce and investment between Australia and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
Over the past 25 years, AVBC has facilitated extensive networking, cultural awareness and business protocols, B2B effective communications and best practices, as well as leveraging and building trust that will establish long term business relationships and co-operation among its members, friends, and governments.
The Viet Nam Trade Office, Consular and Embassy staff of both Australia and Viet Nam has been great assistance to the Australia Vietnam Business Council for over the past 25 years, as well as the invaluable support provided by Australian Federal and State Government Departments and Other Agencies.
